Ryan White Services

Hartford Behavioral Health provides outpatient mental health services to approximately 85
unduplicated clients who have HIV/AIDS in the Greater Hartford Region. HBH will deliver
outpatient mental health treatment uniquely where the whole person is assessed and treated
effectively. Unlike other treatment methods in which a patient is labeled according to a particular
diagnosis criteria, HBH works with each client to identify and resolve the unique core issues that
underlie presenting problems, as well as address a client's life needs through a combination of therapy and case management services.
HBH integrates philosophies from the medical, psychological, family systems and self help communities. Our ability to address the needs of a broader range of clients is brought about by incorporating psychiatric, medical and emerging alternative therapies. The result is a powerful treatment experience for the whole person receiving outpatient services. All individuals who are referred and admitted for mental health treatment services at HBH will meet the Ryan White criteria. Referrals are accepted from those within the Ryan White service system and other regional service providers.
